Star Trek: Ark Royal is a sim that features the adventures of the first of the Ark Royal Class battlecarriers in the early 25th century in the aftermath of the Borg War, the primary goal of which was to furthur the interests of the United Federation of Planets in relationship to other powers and worlds.
The original simm was developed as the "darkly delicious brain child of Albert and Dan", Star Trek: AR attempted to explore a similar environment witnessed in series such as Battlestar Galactica. The change in Starfleet's ethos in within Futility's End creates the perfect platform for the sim. A group of people living out life on the grim edge, trying to reclaim their lives one planet at a time.
However, following the crew's move to Star Trek: Enterprise-F, the simm was re-invented yet again. In keeping with it's darker, Battlestar roots it still looks to explore the character issues brought up via the FE setting. However, it also works on a larger scale in depicting the fallout between the Renegade and Loyalist factions of Starfleet following the Second Battle of Sol. In addition, the stories will be told through the prism of relations between the remaining and newly rising powers of the Alpha Quadrant nearly a decade on from the end of the Borg War.

Every Good Story has a Beginning
Unlike other ships, Captain Darkly hasn't been given any say in his crew. Every assignment was done by Starfleet Command with orders cut for Darkly to return to Earth to assemble his new crew. With a meeting planned on S2 by Fleet Admiral Taylor, the crew all head towards the same point, leaving their old lives behind and beginning a new chapter in Starfleet's history.
Life as we know it
Ark Royal arrives at Qo'noS with intelligence that there is a Neo-Borg culture on the planet and orders to cleanse the planet for Federation recolonisation. All is not as it seems when the FMI make contact with free civilians on the planet.
Bogey in the wire
Ark Royal sensors discover a craft shadowing the vessels movement, as the ship moves to investigate all hell breaks loose leaving the crew of the ship to fight for their lives.
