Characters Appearance:  Standing at 6ft tall Cassie is not a woman to look down on.   She is surprising agile and flexible, able to squeeze into the tightest of spaces.  Her brown hair is always short, and her green eyes have an intensity that many find unnerving.  Cassie has one scar, running down the right side of her back, from her shoulder blade, to her pelvis.  A reminder of the battles she fought and overcome when many of her friends and family didnâ€™t.<br>


Characters Personality:  Strong, determined and fiercely loyal; Cassie is one of the best people to have on your side.  She has a very nasty streak as well, and isnâ€™t afraid to cross the line or bend the rules if they need bending.  But to those in her unit, you could not wish for a fairer, easy going officer that Cassie.<br>


Characters History: Cassie was born in 2368, to a Marine family.  She was brought up between ships, bases and special Marine training facilities as she travelled with her parents.<br>

When the war broke out, Cassie was 14. (2382) She was sent back to earth as her parents joined their unit.  She never saw them again.  They were sent along with TF86, and died in one of the first attacks.  Cassie stayed with her grandmother, watching, waiting, knowing that things would get much worse.  Each day the news brought more horror, more destruction.  She made her mind up, as soon as she was old enough she would join up.  She couldnâ€™t sit here and let the universe burn around her.<br>

When she turned 17, (2385) she reported to the Marine Training camp in San Francisco.  The recruits were pushed through their basic training in 6 weeks, joining units and finishing their training as they made their way to join their assignments.<br>

Cassie joined the 5th Battalion, assigned to a tactical defence unit, shipping out to join TF9 as they return from the Gamma quadrant.  She was a reliable member of her squad, rapidly moving up the ranks.  She was a Squad leader at 20 and in 2392, she was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant, and assigned with her platoon to the USS Visionary in TF21.<br>

TF21 retreated to Earth and the Sol System.  Cassie watched, waited along with the rest of 21.  Joining elite teams, Cassie continued to take part in secret operations, she continued to progress up the ranks.  In 2398, the final battle took place.  Cassie lead an assault team, her mission to beam into a Borg sphere, plant devices to disable the sphere and any in its vicinity.  But the operation went wrong.<br>

The Borg were on the defensive and the team was attacked even before they could beam into position.   Cassie flew a crippled shuttle back to the visionary.  Half her squad died, the others including herself were severely injured.  She wouldnâ€™t let them see to her wounds until those under her command were treated.  She finally collapsed, half dead.  She was saved by the skill of the surgeon would operated on her.  The scar she still wears today.<br>

She was promoted to Major in 2400, and assigned the task of building new elite response team.  The Marines had been decimated during the war, and those that were left were members of the newly formed Federation Mobile Infantry.<br>

Cassie was one of them, helping to rebuild all that she had held dear.  Believing that with everyone working together, they would emerge with a New, stronger Federation.
