Rha is an opinionated person, although unless asked he tries not to force his opinion on others. Which he sometimes has trouble accomplishing. He generally likes the people he works with but spends much of his time alone. Although he does enjoy long and interesting conversations. When it comes to his eating habits he prefers to eat alone. Most species find his eating habits very... disgusting.

Being Saurian Rhade is naturally stronger than Humans if not slightly more then Vulcans. He also is capable to breath several different gases allowing him to enter unhindered in some environments. Saurians speak a complex, musical language which is considered difficult to learn by non-Saurians, but they have no problem learning other languages. He also has the ability to see in the thermal range.

When it comes to temperatures Rhade prefers it warmer than Humans, if the temperature falls below freezing Rhade has trouble operating let a lone thinking clearly. He is easy to anger which has gotten him in to trouble several times before. While at Earth Rhade found that he tends to be allergic to some Human pets.

==Personal Background==

Rha'Dev'nimek was born on Sauria in 2352 to a military family.  His father was a low level officer in the planetary defense force while his mother was a secretary for a high ranking General.  From birth Rha and his brothers and sisters were kept under a strict hand.  His parents had wanted all of their children to end up in the military like them but the two oldest were the rebels of the family.  The rest of the children including Rha fell in line what their parents wanted of them.  At a young age Rha was a bit of a trouble maker tending to get himself in to fights and other situations.  It got to the point where is parents had to send him to a professional.  In the end it didn't really help all that much.

Finally fed up with the situation his parents sent him to a military school to try and straighten him out.  The military was what Rha needed; it gave him a way to focus his energies as well as taught him many valuable skills.  Upon finishing his schooling and reaching the age of ascension Rha decided to make the military his career.  So he enlisted in the Saurian Planetary Defense Forces.  As time passed though Rha found himself feeling restless.  Even though he had joined the military he wasn't happy.  Of course he ended figuring it was because there was nothing for the military to do.  Being under the Federation left few enemies near enough to really worry about, still he stuck with it for it was what he had chosen and he wasn't about to give up on it.

When Rha had first joined the military he had joined in the enlisted ranks figuring they would be the ones to really see the action.  Of course with no action to be had he over time had to rethink what he was going to do with himself.  After several years in the enlisted ranks Rha decided he wanted more responsibility.  Party because he was tired of being told to do by so pompous officer.  He swore he wouldn't become like those he had come to loath.  With the help of some of those pompous officers and some hard work Rha quickly found himself in officer training.  He found that there was a lot more to it than he had originally thought.  As he worked his way through the training process he gained a marginal bit more respect for those officers he had served under.

Even still after finishing the officer training he found it lacking.  He was proud to be a member of his home worldâ€™s military forces, but still he felt that there was more, or at least should have been.  Finally Rha began to look outside of his home to see what possibilities he might have.  There were many he could have chosen, one that had really interested him was a mercenary.  The only problem with that was he knew his family would disapprove, he needed something more honorable.  Finally he decided to try for Star Fleet, it offered many possibilities and it was a profession that many were proud to be a part of.  He knew his mother and father would be sad to see him leave home but then they knew you had to follow your heart sometimes.  Resigning his commission with his planets home forces he quickly sent off an application and soon was on his way to Earth.

Serving in the military of his home he had met and seen many different species but those occasions were nothing compared to what he experienced upon arriving at Earth.  He knew he would have to adapt, that was part of being in the military, he knew it was going to be a challenge.  Still he found many of the habits Humans seemed to have rather annoying, especially how many of his classmates had gone to calling him Rhade instead of his full name.  As time
passed though the name began to grow on him so he adopted it.  He still did have trouble assimilating in to the place at times because of some of his own cultural habits.  The main problem was his eating habits seeing how he liked his meat raw and bloody, most of the time he took to eating in private.  Of course there were those that tried to join him.  They soon changed their minds and avoided meals with Rhade.  Not that he minded that much.

Upon his graduation he was assigned the USS Carson as one of the security officers.  Some of his advisers had worried about him being a security officer mainly because of his temper and more aggressive qualities.  Still he couldn't see himself in any other department.  Fighting was in his blood and it was what he sought to do with his life.  Many didn't see it as a noble endeavor but he didn't really care.  Rhade felt the fire in his blood and knew what it was he wanted to do with his life.  It was during his time aboard the Carson that tensions between the Federation and the Dominion were on the rise.  Within a few months full out war had broken.  Rhade couldn't wait to get his skills in to battle, especially against the vaunted Jem'Hadar.  He was soon to get exactly what he wanted as the Dominion didn't disappoint.  The Carson may not have been the lead in any of the major battles but she saw her fair amount of action.

Going in to the second year of the war the Carson was lost in the battle for Betazed.  Being that the fleet there had been caught off guard and the antiquated defenses of Betazed the system and several of her outlying colonies quickly fell.  It had taken a while but eventually Rhade had been rescued from the tomb of an escape pod.  Seeing how many survived from his fallen ship he was disheartened to see only a few had survived.  Still the war was raging on and he wanted to tear in to the Jem'Hadar even more now.  Unfortunately for him he had been transferred to Deep Space 5 to help increase the security there.  The problem for Rhade was that he saw little action.  About the only thing he did see was wounded and battle scared ships come to the station for repairs.

Finally in early 2375 Rhade got a transfer to the USS Dunton.  By this time he was more than ready to tear in to battle.  He had been so frustrated in seeing so many of his comrades hurt arrive at DS5 and there be so little he could do.  Now he would again take the battle to the Dominion.  The Dunton for several months only saw minor skirmishes along the border between the Federation and the Dominion but Rhade savored every battle.  Finally late in 2375 with the Dominion losing the war the final battle was to come.  As the major push in to the Cardassian home system itself, Rhade radiated with excitement over the thought of taking the battle to where it would finally end. 

During the battle for Cardassia many lives had been lost.  The Dunton had been boarded during the battle itself but in the end the boarders had been repelled and the ship had pulled through.  Rhade wasn't really sure how he felt about the war finally coming to an end.  He knew it meant that people could finally stop living in fear, but part of him enjoyed that adrenaline rush and living from moment to moment.  This would be just another point in his life where he would have to adjust to peace time.  Of course there was still a lot of work to be done.  Especially with cleaning up the mess the Dominion had left behind of the Cardassian home world.  Over the next few years the Dunton ran relief mission in Cardassian space.  He knew he was helping but Rhade felt that he again wanted more.  Thinking back to the war he remembered the Marines he had seen during many of the battles he had been a part of.

Making his decision he transferred off the Dunton and was soon enrolled in the Marine Academy.  Rhade knew that this was the way he wanted his life to go, especially if it meant being the first in to a battle.  That appealed to him most of all.  It only took the better part of a year for his training to soon find him out and back to a new posting.  This time he found himself at outpost 43, he liked working with the marine unit their but still he found that he didn't like working on stations.  He was a warrior at heart but he enjoyed being out among the stars moving from one place to another.  Plus with the threat of the Borg on the horizon Rhade wanted to be out in the midst of it so he put in for transfer to a star ship.
It wasnâ€™t long before he found a new posting aboard the starship Ares as its Chief of Security and Tactical department.  A posting which saw him and the crew of the Ares engaged against the Borg many times.  The Borg were relentless at times wiping out fleets of ships.  However they were able to make a few in roads slowing the Borg advance more than once. A few years later the Ares was destroyed near Qualor 2 shortly after the Borg invasion of Romulus.  Rhade and several others had been lucky to survive that battle being rescued before what remained of the fleet retreated.

After being debriefed on the loss of the Ares Rhade quickly found himself back in the fray aboard the USS Ark Royal.  The Ark Royal was an older Ambassador class but she held her own in several battles.  For his part Rhade mostly fought off Borg boarding parties for the next few years.  It was something that was quickly wearing thin on him as he wanted to be out boarding their ships and wreaking havoc.  Unfortunately the Ark Royal fell during the Borg invasion of Qoâ€™nos as did the entire Klingon and Federation force stationed there.  Itâ€™s during this time that things for Rhade become foggy.

For he was found a year later on a derelict Borg sphere drifting in open space by the IKS Vreâ€™gat.  Upon being returned to Star Fleet Rhade was thoroughly debriefed but was able to tell them little of what happened beyond having to evacuate the Ark Royal before her warp core went critical.  The last year of his life was an entire blank to him until he was found by the Klingons.  Star Fleet Command didnâ€™t like this little mystery at all and quickly sent Rhade threw a battery of medical and psychological tests ensuring that there was nothing, as it was put to him, funny about him.  Several doctors and telepaths later Rhade was given active status once more and returned to duty.

Finally returning to duty aboard the USS Velorin Rhade took up the position of Marine Commander.  The war with the Borg was becoming increasingly tense as the Federation and its allies were quickly losing ground.  During his time aboard the Velorin Rhade took part in the attacks on Borg shipyards and then later in 2392 the second battle of Wolf 359.  It was a few later during the second attack on the Borg shipyards in Cardassian space that the Velorin had been destroyed.  With her sacrifice along with many others they were able to achieve their goals.  Finding himself rescued once more Rhade found himself assigned to a planet side base on Alpha Centauri.  Not his ideal posting but with the way the war was going he went where needed.

The next few years were tense as the frontlines grew closer and closer to the core worlds.  With each passing day more news of loss and defeat was flooding in.  At this point Rhade didnâ€™t even know the status of his home world of Sauria, something that worried him greatly.  For now he and his fellow officers would ensure that the line at Alpha Centauri was held.  Which soon became truth as in early 2397 the Borg attacked the system.  During the battle drones had set foot on the planet but had quickly been dealt with.  The orbiting fleet and bases on the other hand had not fared as well as nearly all were destroyed.  Their sacrifice had not been in vain though as the entire Borg fleet had been destroyed.

In early 2398 Rhade returned to the Sol system and was assigned to the Marine Battalion on Mars.   Everyone was on edge these days with the Borg looming around the next planet.  The war too many was beginning to look hopeless, however Rhade didnâ€™t let this get him down as he had faith in Star Fleet and every single persons desire to survive.  This was soon put to the test as the final Borg assault came a few months later.  Massive fleets enter the Sol system moving quickly wiping away anything that moved.  Once the Borg reached Mars Rhade saw horrors he couldnâ€™t ever imagine.  The Borg were relentless making Rhade fight all that much more.  Even after exhausting his phaser Rhade tore in to the Borg using his own claws and teeth.  By the end of it all the place was in pieces but he and several managed to survive, although it didnâ€™t seem like a victory.

Once Victory had been declared nearly a year later did tension seem to abate slightly.  Still with so much death and destruction around them there was much work to be done in cleaning up, something that no one was looking forward to.  After a few years and a few flared tempers, plus the fact that the Borg had not been seen, re-exploration finally began.  Rhade was eager to get away from the Sol system by this point.  That and he wanted to be among the first to find out what had happened to his home of Sauria.  Unfortunately he had not been assigned to a starship, instead he had been sent out to the Algedi system to help reinforce Fort Tribute on Algedi 3a.
