Legate '''Alon Ghemor''' was the first democratically elected Cardassian leader since the end of the [[Dominion War]] in early 2376. He was nephew of former famous Cardassian military leader Tekeny Ghemor, who was renowned in Cardassian society for turning against the military dictatorship rule of the [[Cardassian Union]].
