Revision as of 20:47, 1 June 2007

I've added more detail to this page so when we are writing for the elections we all have something to work from. The list of councillors is endless (we should have under 200 members of the Federation I think!). Dan are you happy with all of this? - MJ

I don't think naming so many of them is a good thing.suppose a future writter wants to create one of them.Captain Davies

It's open to change, without a doubt but once we start getting in to the story when those councillors are mentioned we need to make sure we have them written down! -MJ

What you have written down here are just random names assigned to a planet. This infobase is supposed to be for canon Fe material. If someone can go in and change any councilor they wish when they write about the council then whats written here is not fe canon.Any established councilors can stay i say the rest should be deleted until referenced in some sort of fiction or sim.Captain Davies 22:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Albert is right, that is the idea of the FEIB, to show what is canon. Not just to provide some background fluff for people.

  • I've cleaned this out. Despite doing my best to try otherwise, I'm aware I may have deleted some legitimate characters, because it's hard to distinguish the 'random pointless name' from the 'actual referenced character'. Mostly, any I didn't remember, who didn't look right, or didn't have an Infobase entry, and didn't pop up in Paul's fic, I wiped. I may have got rid of some legitimate people, but I have better things to do than wade through canon and fluff. --Oook 15:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Slightly unrelated, where do the Council now meet? I don't think it should be at the Palais, it would make an incredibly powerful legislative branch look weak and beholden to the Presidency rather than as a power in their own right. They need their own seat of authority, really. It says here that they don't meet at the Palais any more - the President entry says that they do. So where? And if it's at the Palais, could we look into moving it? --Oook 00:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

It was at the Palais...its now at the Federation Headquarters...it got too big so was moved! MJ

Since Kur'rk is running, would it not make more sense for him to be the counsellor for Qo'noS?? (This is why leaving the blanks is better!)

Meeting Times

It states in this that the Council only meets once every 4 months. Three times a year? That sounds like a debacle of a way to govern a planet, let alone the whole Federation. I'm changing it, unless anyone has a good reason why it should only be every four months. Someone should burn that damn book... --Oook 15:17, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

It doesn't say how long they meet. A new session might start every four months, but that doesn't mean that they don't meet for the whole of the four months, start a new session and continue. - Nadrojneirbo 20:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Vulcan?

Why be there a Vulcan councillor there still? They lefted us!
