USS Ark Royal is the first of a new class of vessels designed to be floating homes in space for Star Fighter Command's Fighter Squadrons.
The ship is currently under the command of Captain Kurt Darkly as it undertakes its shake down crew. It is unknown yet whether Captain Darkly will remain in command after the ship's shake down
