The Devil Dogs are a fighter squadron in the Earth Defence Force, lead by Commander Erika Dagmar, callsign 'Cobra'. Consisting primarily of pilots who entered active duty only after the war, they are somewhat inexperienced if compared to many of the other squadrons out there, those which survived the Borg War.
However, they have been devoted to border patrol for the last four years. Even with their recent reassignment to duties focusing their skills on potential war with the Vulcans, the Devil Dogs are one of the best-established squadrons in the EDF, responsible for many long hours of protection of the Sol System.
