Seamus was born on Earth in 2322. His father was a chef working for local high class restaurant. His mother a school teacher. The O’Malley family lived on a three acre piece of property in Wisconsin at the time. Seamus grew up riding horses and camping under the stars with his friends. As he grew up, he wanted less and less to follow in his father’s footsteps and more and more to follow in his grandfathers.  He wanted to be in Starfleet. He enlisted and spent the next forty five years serving the Federation with honor. Until one incident put him on a path that would ruin his career.

Seamus was born on Celticia in 2362. His father was a chef working for local high class restaurant. His mother a school teacher. The O’Malley family lived on a three acre piece of property on the Northern continent at the time. Seamus grew up riding horses and camping under the stars with his friends. As he grew up, he wanted less and less to follow in his father’s footsteps and more and more to follow in his grandfathers.  He wanted to be a Marine. At the age of 17, he accomplished this goal after enlisting in the Federation Marine Corps. From then on, he spent the next 16 years as a Marine, receiving a battlefield promotion to Second Lieutenant along the way. In 2395, he switched to Starfleet’s premier counter-terrorism and covert operations unit, DEVGRU. His commission switched to Ensign and he would serve in the naval branch from then on. He was seriously injured in the Battle of Sol and was forced to take two years of medical leave. At his return, he was no longer SPECOPS capable according to Starfleet and was instead transferred to Starfleet Security & Tactical and placed as a Chief of Security aboard the USS Devonshire. When the Devonshire was retired in 2404, he was transferred to the USS Defiant B.

In 2385, the war with the Borg was raging on all around Seamus. He decided to take drastic measures. He had his engineering and science personnel come up with bio-mechanical sensing devices and had them involuntarily implanted in two security officers. He then beamed the officers over to a Borg Cube. They were assimilated immediately. Soon afterwards, Seamus’ ship the Kalani started receiving intelligence on the Borg. Using this data, Seamus destroyed the Borg Cube as well as a Borg outpost. However it was soon discovered as to how he had gotten the intelligence. Fleet Captain O’Malley was court martialed and sentenced to life imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony. He was stripped of his command and his commission as well as all honors he had received, including the Medal of Honor with clusters, the Pike Medal of Valor and the Star Cross. He spent the next six years in solitary confinement, until an Admiral who had been a friend of Seamus’ before the incident petitioned to have him released on the basis that Starfleet needed experienced soldiers in the field. He was brought back to active duty at the rate of Chief Boatswain’s Mate and made a Chief of the Boat for a small frigate called the USS Hawaii. He spent the next thirteen years striving to right his wrong and eventually achieve the rate of Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate. He is currently serving aboard the USS Defiant in the capacity of CMC.

Celticia was unfortunately destroyed in 2391. Seamus’ entire family resided there at the time with the exception of a third cousin living on Earth.
