InfoBase Guidelines
Welcome to the FEInfoBase, this page is designed to let you know the format required of InfoBase entries. Before editing any pages you should read the pages on canon and cannon.
Creating Links
Internal Links
Creating links in the wiki is very simple, to create a new link simply put two sets of square brackets around the words you wish to link on for example John Jefferson will create a link to a page called John Jefferson which looks like this John Jefferson.
A named link is very much like a normal link; however you can make the text say anything you wish. For example if I wanted to link to the TF72:Ships of the Task Force page but call the link click here I could do so by typing this click here this would create a link like this click here
This is very useful for masking Task Force Specific Pages.
External Links
The code to create an external link is subtly different to that of an internal link, to create a link to the Task Force 72 site you would use single square brackets like this it will create a link that looks like this [1].
To create a named external link you would write the link code like this Task Force 72. Notice there is no pipe (vertical bar) between the URL and the label this time, this is one of the differences between internal and external links. The code shown previously will create a link like this Task Force 72.
Creating New Pages
Creating new pages couldn’t be simpler, just create a link to the page you want and it will automatically generate a link to the new page. Then when you click on it the link will take you straight to the edit page.
For example, if I wanted to create a new page called My New Page I would create a link like this My New Page when I clicked on the corresponding link it would take me straight to the edit page.
