I think this has cone out of the need or rather the cheapness of paramount and the usual scaling issues, memory alpha and several other places have well documented scaling issues, it is stupid and it is not any better then the 2 kinds of cardie ships we have seen ( compared to now rather numerous fedie designs)

Klingon design is different than Starfleet design, there could have been in-character motives for making the ship look the same as well.  The bird of prey design is so familiar to people as the Klingons are coming.  It's agile and maneuverable.

Sure it started as the production staff accidentally having huge birds and small birds and realizing that made no sense, and making them two different classes, but that doesn't mean we have to shun it's existence.  Klingons have *lots* of Birds of Prey now.  They don't run to specs all the time, they're often a House's own custom blueprints.

Pity the "aliens" Get shite. I've seen a lot of really nice fan designed klingon stuff that would have looked great on the TV shows or even the movies.

One of the things i never really cared for. How they made a whole new class of ship that looked just like the little version only bigger! I would think even klingons would be more imaginative then that. Sloppy TV producers.

That might be so but to be honest, this is cannon. ~~ Ta'pez

D7 and K't'inga use the same model too. But um, I figured having a disambig page for Birds of Prey would be a good idea.

And boss, use the signature command, it looks better.

Canon or not it is pretty stupid. It's like if i wanted a new science ship and just upsized the oberth four times. maybe someday the klings will get something better then reused or redecorated models.
