The USS Saratoga is the sister ship to the USS Excalibur and the second in line of the new Excalibur-class Starships. The Saratoga is currently under construction at Utopia Planitia Shipyards Dock 8, where the first Excalibur-Class was constructed. The construction timeline has projected for a target scheduled launch sometime within the next five years. So far a commanding officer nor a senior staff have been chosen for the ship. The superstructure of the ship was damaged slightly in the bombing attacks that occurred at Utopia in 2406. It has pushed her construction schedules back at least six months.
