Introduction
The ninth vessel to bear the name Excalibur in Starfleet, the Luna Class vessel is one of only a handful of new ships currently being pushed out of the few remaining operation shipyard facilities. The keel was laid near the end of the Borg War, but progress was painstakingly slow as priority was given to ships that better served the purpose of protecting the interests of the Federation. Now, with a renewed focus on getting a look at what damage was done during the war, the Excalibur heads out to take a look into the formerly-known-unknown.
