Updated to make sense. Kira as Fleet Admiral is considered one of those incidents of Bajor thinking they were the 'last of the Federation'. They formed a new government, thought they were the real Federation, the real Starfleet, and so needed a real Fleet Admiral. Kira reassumed her last legal rank of Vice-Admiral when Bajor rejoined the Federation. This should not be considered a demotion so much as a re-integration. I have also cut out the Expanded Universe DS9 Relaunch content for being irrelevant.--Edge 12:36, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
