Talos IV

A somewhat baren class-M planet and home of the Talosians.A nuclear war devestated almost the entire planet and population.The survivors of the conflict fled to underground shelters where they developed and eventualy became dependent on illusion-creating technology.

The S.S. Columbia crashed there around 2236 with only one survivor.USS Enterprise visited the planet in 2254 following a distress call.Fleet captain Christopher Pike returned to the planet in the early 2260's after being disabled in a accident so he could live out his days in peace and comfort. As of 2404 all contact with Talos IV is still forbidden by Starfleet due to the addictive qualities of the illusion technology and the ease at which the native inhabitance can manipulate outsiders.

Talos IV the system it inhabits and much of the surrounding sector are now virtually impassable by warp powered craft due to massive disruptions in subspace in the area.Talos IV itself appears to have been completely devastated.
