Harvesters are groups of borg outside of the normal collective who live on the fringes of controlled space and have become brutal and savage. Their existence is officially denied by most known governments still in existance,Harvesters are A horrible part of daily life around the outer sectors of the alpha and beta quadrents.

Harvesters are savage, brutal and primal. Their contact with other species is limited to combat, torture, murder and harvesting of biological and technological parts to sustain themselves.As of yet no harvester has been known to speak.Yet when they are encountered they never speak with each other, suggesting that they have retained some form of the borg hive mind.

Harvesters are known to raid ships and colonies to kill and cannibalize anyone or anything they find. They are known for their delight in causing pain and suffering in sentient beings.Their methods are so horrifying that when faced with capture by them most victims attempt suicide, and mercy killings of those who fall into the hands of harvesters are considered humane. The harvesters do occasionally intentionally leave survivors of their raids in some preverse way of spreading the myth about themselves.
