General Overview
At times he almost seem like a quiet person, but when he is on duty, Sam has been known to date fellow crew member but he rarely is seen outside his quarters.

Personal Background
Sam was born on June 12, 2356 to Lieutenant Commander Janet Kelly Moss, whose lover Major Nelson William Clark was at the battle of Wolf 395. Two hours after she had Sam, she was informed that James was listed as Killed in Action along with those on his ship. Janet never let Sam out of her sight and the only people that he was able to hang out with when he was young would be his cousins who were informed from Janet that if anything happened to Sam, they would be dead before sunrise.
Janet took very few starship assignments for fear of leaving her son alone in the world, so if there was an assignment on a base or colony she would try to get it.
When Sam was sixteen, he began to see himself joining Starfleet as a Security Officer, so in 2372 with his mother's permission and Captain Kelly who commanded the USS Justice, Sam began his training with Lieutenant Commander Daniel James. Sam has been trained in almost every Terran martial art, and he also has some training in the Vulcan martial arts. James also noticed that Sam was not a quitter and any task that was given to him, he tried to complete the task at all costs.
In 2374, Sam turned eighteen and as the biological son of Major Nelson Clark he assumed his father's title of Knight Commander, since his father was also a Duke in the United Kingdom, Sam assumed that title as well. After the course of eighteen years, his father's estate had grown somewhat and Sam would never have had to work a day in his life, but he was a Moss and they don't take the easy way out. Sam enlisted in Starfleet at the time when war seemed to be on the horizon.
