Transwarp has many definitions. It's most common definition is any method of travel that exceeds the known warp speed barrier of warp 10. There are many methods of known transwarp propulsion only two of which are viable. Borg transwarp conduits and the new Quantum slipstream drive aboard the Starship Excalibur.
