Starbase

A Starbase is a facility or group of facilities where starships are maintained and resupplied where crews and civilians can relax.Starbases can be research stations military bases places for trade even administration nexus points. Some starbases are also home to starship construction and refit facilities.

Some Starbases are located only in space some are located on plantary surfaces or even a combination of both.

The term starbase is often specifically used to refer to Federation Starfleet bases.
