Based heavily upon regular fusion plants in which two deuterium atoms are fused together to form a single helium atom in a reaction that generates massive amounts of power.The problem has always been that during the reaction process some power is invariably lost in the primary fusion cycle.The Hellstrom mark I fixes this latent power loss by allowing a cascade effect almost to the point of overload thus creating more avilable power but limiting the reactors effective safe operating conditions this also creates a need for a dedicated monitoring system of the complete system.Installation of the HM1 is due on the Venture Star testbed ship sometime in middle 2404.
