Bajoran Wormhole

The Bajoran wormhole is the only stable wormhole currently known in the Milkyway galaxy. The point near to the Federation is in the Denorios Belt in the Bajor system,it travels some 70,000 light years to the Idran system in the Gamma Quadrant.

The wormhole is also the home of dimensional lifeforms who are worshipped by the Bajorans as the Prophets.The wormhole is sometimes called the Celestial Temple by native bajorans.

Bajoran historical records indicate that the wormhole has most likely been in existence for at least 10,000 years.During that time, nine Orbs have appeared on or around Bajor.These Orbsare considered active links between the Bajorans and the lifeforms living in the wormhole.
