Character History
Early Life
Alexi Dentrovich was born on Mars into the Starfleet Marine Corps. His father was a marine, his grandfather was a marine, going back to the Days of the Enterprise NX-01, with a Dentrovich in the MACO. It was obvious from a young age that Alexi would finish high school, and go straight into the Marines. He did on his 18th Birthday.
Marine Academy
Entering the Academy, Alexi was fast-tracked with his squad, due to high scores in simulations. He entered as a Private into the Marine Corps, working as a Technician in a fire team. He was posted to the USS Heston in 2397. On the Heston, he saw battles all along the inner sectors, including missions on Borg Vessels. He also began to develop the nickname "The Devil." He ran the betting pools, the ship's illegal casino, the bootlegging, and other unscrupulous endeavors. To simplify it, if there was anything illegal going on, Alexi knew about it, and probably had a hand in it.
After the War
When the war ended, Alexi (now a Staff Sergeant) was posted to the USS Poseidon, under the new FMI structure. The support squadron on the Poseidon became a haven for gambling. As the support squadron's influence grew, Alexi's ego grew as well. He began betting insane amounts in card games, stealing for his men, and the like. It all came crashing down in 2404. The Poseidon's FMI CO, Colonel Standing had brought Alexi's mother to a FMI Mess Function. Alexi's father had died during the war, and Alexi thought it to be a slap in his face. He calmly walked up to the Colonel, and punched him in the face. Warrant Officer Alexi Dentrovich was dishonourably discharged for striking a superior officer.
Criminal
Alexi returned to Earth, and did the only thing he knew how: Cheat people out of money. He began playing cards, winning by less than reputable methods. He also worked as a supplier for criminals. He began to get big for his boots, beginning to get the money for a job, and killing the client, to get the stock back. He ended up in Guadalupito, living a hedonistic life, until he got arrested for distributing Starfleet weapons. He was offered the choice: Starfleet, Prison or Death...
Psychological Profile
Alexi is a man who can get anything in the universe. For a price. He is driven by the all mighty dollar, doing things that come under the "ethically wrong" catagory. He enjoys fine alcohol, finer cigars, and even finer women. But under all the debauchery, the gambling and the broken moral compass, Alexi has skill in the battlefield. If there's a locked door, he'll open it. If there's a problem with rubble, he'll clear it. He prefers the standard Marine Assault Rifle, with a modified grenade launcher, and always carries enough explosives to take down a small city on a mission.
