A Small Town Boy
Born February 29th 2371 in a Smallville Kansas Bruce was the son of Johnathan and Martha Night. Local Art Business owners who dealt in off world or "alien" objects of art for multiple museums and private collectors in the Americas.
Dreams and Daydreams
All through his school career young Bruce was mostly interested in Mechanics and engineering. Figuring out how something worked and trying to make it better. During this stage in his life he discovered a hero of sorts. Captain Montgomery Scott Famed chief engineer of the starship Enterprise.

Academy Bound
Meeting the childhood Hero
It was in his first year of academy that Bruce met his childhood hero. Admiral Montgomery Scott or "scotty" To his friends. Scotty was as usual scouting the rank and file of the command academy for talented individuals to join his core of engineers academy track. Bruce came to scotty's notice during a simulation exercise where the senior class was taking the kobayashi maru and failing miserably. The freshman Night stepped up where more senior cadets were failing and utilizing a technique where he got bridge control back by routing the control and command codes through his old style communicator he always kept on him for luck. Utilizing this technique Bruce managed to keep the ship fighting longer then any other attempt at the "unwinable" simulation.
It was after this impressive display that Scotty first met with the cadet. Impressed with his performance and his skill set Scotty offered him a placement in his advanced SCE cadet track at the academy. Delighted with the praise from his hero Bruce accepted immediately and began the first of many adventures.
First assignment
Ark Royal
When he first encountered the Ark Royal to say he was impressed was an understatement. First shown the project by his mentor Rory Calhoun Bruce was stunned by the level of engineering that went into the behemoth. Unknown to Bruce this would not be his only encounter with the massive ship. After a series of circumstances forced him to leave USS Enterprise the first time Rory Calhoun picked Bruce as his replacement as chief engineer aboard the massive ship. Everything seemed to go smoothly but Bruce always dreamed of the day he would return to his enterprise. A short time into his tenure as chief engineer of the Ark Royal the ship became involved in the Rapidly brewing civil war that was lead by famed Hero Admiral Bryan Cash. Undergoing repairs at Deep space one from a harvester attack Ark Royal was left behind during the initial movements of the second battle of sol.
Utilizing a cobbled together variation of the Quantum Aperture drive that the venture star carried. Ark Royal opened up a Quantum aperture and made the split second journey to the sol system. After the transit the unknown and untested nature of the device that Bruce constructed was apparent. Hundred of injuries across the ship were reported. The worst being in engineering. The proximity to the Aperture drive was extremely deadly. Multiple crew arrived at the sol system missing parts of there bodies. Bruce got the worst of it leaving behind his left leg and right eye and arm floating somewhere in the briar patch.
Bleeding profusely and unable to fully see. Bruce managed to keep the Ark Royal together long enough to join the fight with the renegades against the unwitting forces of Sam Kirok. When Captain Darkly gave the order to evacuate and then ramming speed. Bruce stayed at his post keeping the ship in one piece until it rammed the dissension at half impulse speed.
Enterprise and the fulfillment of a Dream
Former Chief Operations Officer aboard Deep Space 1 and chief engineer of the USS Enterprise whilst Fleet Captain Bennett was in charge of the station and ship.
Bruce was given a battle field promotion to Lieutenant Commander whilst serving aboard USS Ark Royal, the promotion was given to him by Captain Darkly in recognition for his efforts to get the big lady to her dance on time. Bruce Transferred with the rest of the Ark Royal crew back to the USS Enterprise where he served as chief engineer until contacted by Admiral Montgomery Scott abut serving aboard the newest Battle Carrier the Excalibur.
