The Constitution class is perhaps the most famous well known class of starship in fleet history. the class first entered service in the mid-23rd century. constitution ships were multi-role, but mostly used for exploration and diplomacy.They were Excellent in combat against ships of most enemy powers of their time.constitutions had an armament consisting of two photon torpedo launchers, two primary phaser banks, and a number of secondary phasers implacements. In the late 2260s, the surviving Constitution class vessels of which there were not many underwent a large-scale refiting and redesign with major upgrades of every major system, extending the class'lifespan by at least twenty years. The most striking of these changes was the redesign of the warp nacelles, as well as the replacement of the original bridge module.
