General order 22

Estalished in 2399, the new Omega Directive replaces the original. General Order 22 authorizes the activation of an Omega reactor, using the resulting chain reaction to destroy subspace in a theorized multi-sector-wide, possibly quadrant wide, radius. Only the Federation President, the Starfleet commander-in-chief, and several other currently unidentified authorities may authorize the activation of this Omega Directive.
