James Langley is the commanding officer of the USS Caliburn, and a ranking member of Starfleet's Second Fleet. A veteran of the Borg War, Langley went on in peace time to serve within Starfleet Special Investigations before taking a command of his own and returning to the side of his former mentor and brother-in-law, Admiral Matthew Royce. He currently heads up some of the Second Fleet's most aggressive and deep space campaigns, reputed to be nursing a grudge against the force's commander after being passed over twice for the position of Fleet Executive Officer.

Physical Appearance: Tall and wiry, Langley appears much frailer than he is - despite not seeming to hold a lot of muscle, he is in fact surprisingly strong, and very fast on his feet. His features are long and thin, but make him look handsomely well-chiselled rather than gaunt, aided by the broad, confident smile that usually adorns his face. His hair is a very bright blond, a little longer than regulations might like, and his eyes a bright, dazzling green. Overall, he doesn't quite look like the sort of officer who belongs on a recruitment poster so much as on a pin-up.
