Varient of the venerable Miranda class starship.gone is the boom mounted weapons pod.In its place is twin mounted type VIII mounted heavy phasers for close point combat.Featuring upgraded combat capabilitys also ment the soyuz lost most of her scientific facilites and her diplomatic options.However her sensors were greatly uprated giving her some of the best most comprehensive sensors packages in the fleet at the time.the class was retired in the early 2300's
