12 fighters? Isn't that a tad to many?I mean it looks like the ship could handle a few yes.But all the shuttles support craft and then 12 fighters.Do we have a precident for this many fighters on a ship?

If there's to be 12, you loose most of your shuttles. 12 is far too many, 4 is the most you could possibly fit - but you'd still have to loose a couple of shuttles.

That's what i thought.I was going to adjust the Venture Star's load outs when i happened upon this

I made the edit so I'll explain my reasons, there are two. First; 12 fighters is apparently the standard squadron size in SFCOM and second; The USS Enterprise website lists 12 pilot slots on the manifest. Having a vested interest in the issue (Play the squadron CO) I'd like to argue for keeping at least 8 fighters (Two flights) and maybe losing a few shuttles and a runabout or two. Sorry for the trouble though.- Frosst 02:04, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

No trouble my good man!I was just wondering how many one of these big ol ships couldn handle. Captain Davies

Yeah, we removed fighters from ships a long time ago, and put them in to squadrons. Only 'carriers' are meant to have them.

For Ent to have 8 fighters they'd have to loose a fair few shuttles to make the space for the A) the fighters, B) the spares and C) the space to work on them. FE decided canonically that they take more space to maintain.

You should have Paul take a look.

Yeah, I sent him a couple of proposals for modifications to the support craft load out yesterday. -Frosst 19:23, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

NCC

Enterprise should now be NCC'd! No longer an NX it's been in the fleet far far too long to remain a test bed.
