USS Kirk

The USS Kirk (NCC-99728) is a Galaxy Class starship serving in the Earth Defence Force, named for famed Starfleet legend James T. Kirk who died in 2371. It was commanded by Commodore Aziel Grex. The Kirk lead the task group charged with the defence of Mars in the Sol System.She was unfortunatly lost while undergoing testing at utopia planetia.The ship was being fitted with a new more powerful set of phaser arrays and suffered an overload and catastrophic failure of fusion reactors.The ship detonated not far from a construction dock and was lost with all it's dockyard hands.A very insignificant end to a poorly designed and constructed ship.
