'''Walton's Species''' is an ancient race of software entities, discovered by [[Caroline Walton]] aboard the [[USS Chimera|USS ''Chimera'']] in 2409. Thus far, only a single member of this species is known to presently exist. These beings predate even the [[Ancient Humanoids]] who seeded the galaxy with their genetic material, making them perhaps the oldest species Starfleet has ever made contact with.
