SAN FRANCISCO (Federation News Service) --- Star Fleet Command has announced that the third Enterprise Class Starship is due to launch in early 2411 the as yet unnamed hull is likely to be assigned to First Fleet. The Federation News Service notes that in past year fourteen ships have been assigned to the First Fleet and only one USS Voyager-A has been assigned to the Second Fleet.

Update: Star Fleet Operations has confirmed that the next Enterprise Class Starship will bear the named USS Endeavour.

Despite the prosperity of the Alpha Quadrant, for many the scars of the Dominion War remained. The peace in the galaxy was fragile and a single misdoing could mean destruction for all.

The Federation proved the most prosperous of all. The safe return home of the starship Voyager brought back new ideas, new discoveries and new technology to help the Federation remain a main power in the galaxy. But at the same time the Federation lost members due to their fear that remaining part of the government would bring more conflict to their worlds.
