USS Thunderchild
The USS Thunderchild NCC-63549-A is an Akira Class starship under the command of Lieutenant Commander Darren Kestler. She is the second Akira-class starship to bear the name Thunderchild, named after the ship lost in the Battle of Raeya, and follows in a long tradition of Starfleet service.
Currently, the Thunderchild has been assigned to the Earth Defence Force, and is right now a part of the task group led by Commander Joseph Ryan, of the 12th EDF Squadron, to present a Rapid Response Unit for any threats that may appear at the Sol System. The Thunderchild, as such, is a support ship for the "Angry Apes", as the 12th EDF are called, and most of their missions revolve around the duties of the fighter squadron.
