Orignally launched in 2378, under the command of Captain David Stone. The vessel participated in patrolling the Trigati border for nearly two years before being assigned as the first ship to arrrive in sector 611 to assist the [[Fourth Fleet|Fourth Fleet's]] [[Task Force 21]] in preparing for a possible C'Hakilian invasion. In early 2380 the vessel was attacked by the C'Hakilians while on patrol along the C'Hakilian-Federation Neutral Zone. The ship was stripped apart by its attackers and later rescued by the [[USS Odyssey]]. The ship was towed to [[Starbase 611]] for repairs. The ''Red Robin'' was repaired and quickly returned to service mid-2380.

There have been two ships named USS Red Robin and both have been Explorer Class starships all under the command of David Stone.

NCC-79000

Orignally launched in 2378, under the command of Captain David Stone. The ship was nicknamed named the Double R after its crew and several other commanding officers in the fleet. The ship was destroyed at the Second Battle of Wolf 359 in 2392, however its crew was rescued.

NCC-79000-A

The Explorer Class Red-Robin-A was launced in 2396 and participated in a number of fights against the Borg. Captain Stone resumed command of the vessel after turning down several positions at Starfleet Command. The ship now remains in the Sol System in the First Fleet. In 2402 the vessel found Andrew Johnson in a statis field on a wrecked Borg vessel in The Field (DS1: "The Miracle Workers").
