Damien Hellstrom:57 year old physist. Created the worlds first quantum vaccum reactor.A perpetual source of near limitless energy.It mines particles from the quatum vaccum and utilizes them in a fusion reaction.Since no outside source of fuel is needed the reactor now dubbed the Hellstrom MKI has been utilized aboard the prototype starship Uss Venture Star as a source of additional power for the ships Quantum aperature drive.

While experimenting with the aperature drive system Hellstrom discovered an inate ability of the drive to actually cross between dimensions.Project D.A.M or Dimensional acceleration machine.Has a black ops madate to explore different quatum realities searching for a universe mostly abandonded that the federation can mine for precious natural resources.

Professor hellstrom is a quite introverted man,Prefering his research to individual personal interaction.
