The USS Challenger is a Galaxy Class Star Ship attached to the EDF, she is commanded by Captain Geordi La Forge.

In 2400, the Challenger was assigned to salavaging, and relief missions in the Sol System. In Lunar orbit, they not only found survivors on the surface, but one survivor in the wreck of a borg cube orbiting the planet. This was LtCmdr. Kroe'nn, former CO of the USS Armistrice, who beamed his crew onto the wreck, when his ship was destroyed during the final battle for Earth in 2398. Kroe'nn was the soul survivor.
