The 15 Lyncais system contains the planet Cait and is the homeworld of the Caitian people. It is one of two systems currently claimed by the now independent Caitian government and defended by the Caitian military.

In 2410, the USS Phoenix delivered a mostly in-tact station, Kerok Nor from nearby former Cardassian space as a show of good faith towards potential future re-admission to the Federation.
