Danielle Ferris

The Squadron XO of the Angry Apes, is the Half-El Aurian, Dame Lieutenant Danielle Morgaine Ferris, formerly Lieutenant Commander. Though she is 40+ Terran years, her El-Aurian half makes look and sometimes act, like a 16-19 year old human. Her parents where both COs, her human mother (Captain Linda Ferris) dying in the Cardassian War, her father (Rear Admiral Feuran Ferris) went missing after the failed Defense of Raeya against the Borg.

She has more scars then most other members of the 12th Squadron (excluding Captain Tanners), and has even lost an eye while seated in the cockpit. Her Call sign is Midnight. She was knighted by the Selurian Crown in 2383, and is often refered as "Dame" if not "Lieutenant" (She hates the latter, because...well...she hates most things). Often called volatile, mischievous, and a train wreck waiting to happen, Dame Morgaine has decked her former CO, and is a Maverick (though not the type Starfleet Command likes...). She is always spotted with her Selurian Cat companion, Moonlight.

The peice of technology that the Dame uses as an eye, is a SFEC-13a Cybernetical Enhanced Replacement Eye System, also known as CERES. This eye has to be removed from the mechanical eye socket every now and then for tune ups and the like do the stress that Midnight puts it through. When it is removed, she wears a head band that she slants to cover the socket. The head band is made of the same material and in the same ribbed style as the grayish shoulders of the uniform jacket.

Midnight is often seen with a Selurian Blade sheathed on her belt, the sign of her knighthood. Under the cultural uniform amendments act of 2231, she can wear this as long as she doesn't draw it normal circumstances. With the millitaristic nature of the Apes mission, and in fact the EDF as a whole, not many would complain about it...after all, Phasers can be adapted too...Selurian steel can not.

Recently, with the amalgamation fo the Starfleet Fighter Pilots, and the SF Marine Fighter Elements into the Starfleet Starfighter Command, Danielle's rank has changed from SF Lieutenant to SFC Captain.
