Janus

Janus is the Roman god of gates and doors (ianua), beginnings and endings, and hence represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. Janus as a project in Starfleet is an ultra secret undertaking that some have rumored to be the ultimate weapon capable of destroying and possibly remaking the entire universe. Possible connections exist with another project of the Federation in Starfleet: Project Genesis.
