Remnants

The Remnants are the designation given to small pockets of Borg drones which survived the destruction of the Borg Collective. First encountered by Starfleet in 2400 in orbit of Vulcan by the USS Triton, the drones were quickly removed by the Vulcans three years later from making any more threat to their planet.

A group of Remnants attacked Deep Space One in 2401 shortly after it became operational. The small group of inadequate starships were destroyed by the station and its defense ships.

A similar group was encountered near to Bajor in 2401 by the USS Enterprise-F. Once again the Bajorans were able to destroy the Remnants and prevent them from attempting to assimilate their planet.
