Bajor is the homeworld to the Bajoran people. It is one of fourteen planets in the B'hava'el system. Bajor takes up to twenty six hours to rotate on its axis in completing a day. It also has five moons in orbit.

The Denorios Belt is a plasma field located in the Bajoran system. It is a hazardous area of the system to navigate through. It is prone to severe neutrino, gravemetric and subspace disturbances due to it being the home of the Bajoran Wormhole. The Belt is also the location of where several Bajoran Orbs were found.

Status in 2410

Bajor has turned in a multi-cultural world with other Federation members residing on the planet. They are the survivors of those ships that faught during the three Battles of Bajor during the Borg War. Bajor has become in essence how Earth was before the Borg War. It is led by a President, a Bajoran woman named Leeta. There is also a strong Starfleet presence on the planet commanded by Vice-Admiral Kira Nerys.

Bajor only has two major continents (with many smaller islands) and a majority of the land has been used to house the refugess the planet took on. The capital city of Bajor, Dahkur had been transformed to the centre location of everything politcal for the planet. A Council was assembled to represent all of the new races that were making Bajor home. Headquarters for a Starfleet Defence presence on the planet was also set up.

In 2403 Bajor officially re-joined the Federation and as of 2410 is still one of the key members.

In February 2410, Bajoran colony world Konchek IV was attacked by starships of a Romulan origin. Despite the protestations of the Bajoran government and Bajoran sector Starfleet, Starfleet Command and the Federation Government have presumed this to be nothing more than pirate activity. Despite receiving no reinforcements, local Starfleet have heightened the alert level along the Bajoran sector border.
