Starfleet Academy

Overview
Starfleet Academy is the training ground for future Fleet members and has been hastily rebuilt following critical damage sustained during the conflict of the war and subsequent raids by technology looters. The Academy campus is located in the former Presidio area of San Francisco, and includes accomodation for students and tutors alike. The science facilities on the campus outstrip those of a starship by a long way and so are often used by Starfleet Command as well as cadets.
The current Chancellor of the Academy, who has served in that post for at least the last 10 years, is a Vulcan woman named Suva.
Academy Program
The Academy program is traditionally exceptionally hard and entrance into the academy is considered a major feat in itself. Traditionally, officer-path cadets would spend four years at the Academy though during the war, many cadets graduated in their third year, and this practice is continued today for exceptional students.
