T'Kumbra Deserts

The T’Kumbra Deserts were a a region of barren and lifeless land on Vulcan, and known for its harshness. It was rated as the second harshest desert on the planet. The T'Kumbra Desert was known for fooling sensors, and could barely support live. By 2403 the T'Plana-Hath Movement had setup a sanctuary there to hide from the Vulcan High Command. However when a Starfleet away team was sent from the USS Enterprise-F to find the movement, the High Command tracked the team's journey and discovered the sanctuary (DS1: "The Vulcan Connection").
