Tactical Alert

Tactical Alert is one of the highest levels of alertness of any starship, station or colony. It prepares all personnel for battlestations. Defence and Offence systems are brought fully online and hand held weapons are handed out to everyone. Other critical primary systems (such as life support, emergency evacuation systems, propulsion and internal defence) are secured as well.

Normally on Federation facilities tactical alert is displayed by Red Alert, where non essential systems are powered down and redirected to other vital systems. A klaxon also goes off for one minute.
