Xanthia Turner served as the Chief of Operations within Bryan Cash's Renegade Armada from 2403 until the attack on Sol in 2406. A trusted advisor of Rear Admiral Cash she has often been left in operational command of the armada, she was instrumental in the so called Saber class defection.

Bright and bubbly Xanthia has often been described as motherly by those who have had the fortune to wrok with her, throughout the war she constantly strove to look after those who were under her command to the point she refused to follow orders on several occasions when Starfleet ordered her to take her crew on suicide missions. Whilst she didn't endear herselves to the brass she did develop a following amongst other commanding officers and crew. This good will made it almost impossible for Starfleet to remove her from command, something which would have been difficult anyway considering the staff shortages Starfleet was suffering.

Unable to remove her they did the next best thing and promoted her to the rank of Commodore
