Wesley Crusher

Wesley Robert Crusher, is the son of Jack and Beverly Crusher. He was one of the first humans to exist among other planes of existence by the assistances of a member of the race from Tau Alpha C who called himself The Traveler.

Career

2379-2403

In 2379 Wesley had already returned to Starfleet and was given the field comission of Lieutenant junior grade. His first assignment was as chief engineer on board the USS Titan NCC 79172. He was on board the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E in early 2380 when the vessel came under heavy attack and was forced to assume command due to Captain Jean Luc Picard's absent and the XO had been killed. Picard had been impressed by Crusher that he later offered the position of XO to the young officer. For two years Crusher was trained and taught the ways of command.

2382 saw his own promotion come as Starfleet promoted Picard and assigned him else where in the Federation. Crusher was promoted to captain and the Enterprise-E was given to him to command. There was a lot of objection from a number of Starfleet Admirals (most noteable Edward Jellico) with Crusher taking command of the flagship. Many felt he didn't deserve the position or felt he wasn't ready or fit to command a starship. Crusher was put through a number of tests and examinations, however with some persuasion from Picard and other senior Starfleet officers Crusher's command of the Enterprise-E was sanctioned by all.

Crusher mediated a new peace treaty between the Federation and the Talarian Empire. The treaty opened a new era between the two powers allowing for trade routes to be set up, a mutual defence pact signed and a sharing of scientific resources. Fate fell to the proud vessel when it was heavily disabled on December 17th 2384 by an unusual sub-space anomaly near to the Bajoran badlands. The ship was in the middle of a rescue effort to retrieve the crew of a stricken Talarian ship on its way to Deep Space Nine. The Enterprise had been successful in rescuing the Talarian crew but the ship had to be towed back to Earth. Captain Crusher had pulled in a few favours to have the ship repaired gradually shortly before he took his new assignment teaching at Starfleet Academy.

For the rest of his career he was stationed at the Academy. In 2395 he been made a Commodore and assigned as the Academy's Commandant. While attending Fleet Admiral Picard's birthday party in 2403 he was killed along with several others by a bomb which was detonated in the room.
