The Verex System is a system along the Federation and Klingon border. The system is located in the Borderland, which is close to Klingon and Orion space. The system itself used to be home to the largest Orion Syndicate processing station for their slave trade during the twenty second and twenty third centuries before Starfleet closed it down. In early 2404 the USS Enterprise-F visited the Verex system (ENT-F "A Good Day To Defend").
