The T'Plana-Hath Movement is dedicated to returning Vulcan back to the path of emotional control and logic advocated by Surak. The movement was deemed a terrorist organization by the Vulcan government. However it gained support in 2403 with the arrival USS Enterprise (NX-1701-F) when the Vulcan High Command, who was running the government opposed the flagship's presence in Vulcan space. The movement gained ground when Chief Administrator Loval of the High Command was relieved of duties by Minister T'Poul who protested against the hostile actions of Loval against the Federation flagship.

The movement was led by a woman called Julok who had large support from the civilian population who wanted to return to the old ways (DS1: "The Vulcan Connection").

The movement was named after T'Plana-Hath who was an ancient Vulcan known as a matron of Vulcan philosophy. One of her commonly quoted sayings is, "Logic is the cement of our civilization, with which we ascend from chaos using reason as our guide."
