In Character Overview
The USS Excalibur is the second of two starships of the experimental and advanced Excalibur Class. The first starship, also named USS Excalibur, was a failed attempt to perfect the quantum slipstream drive. The ship was believed destroyed and the next Excalibur Class hull was left in space dock for nearly eight years. Eventually the project was revived and succesfully launched and given a shakedown under the command of Jerok.
The Excalibur has been out of dock for almost a year and has already made large contributions to the Federation and Starfleet including re-contact with the Breen, which almost ended in disaster, and dealing with the Cardassians "diplomatically" as well as moving the new Starfleet station Empok Nor to it's new home in orbit of Betazed.

The USS Excalibur fiction springs forth from the mind of Bob Martens and is notable for being an extension of his former simm of the same name.
