Ba'ku is a class M planet with metaphasic particles stuck in a ring orbit that are in a constant state of temporal flux which in return keeps all organic life on the planet rejuvanated. The planet itself is in the Briar Patch a dangerous area of space in sector 441.

Their planet currently consists of a small Federation colony, a Son'a colony alongside the Ba'ku settlement. The Ba'ku planet is currently protected by Deep Space One and the stations other support craft. Plans are being made for a Starfleet Fighter Divison to be assigned for the planet's further protection.
