Originally assigned as the chief science officer to the USS Warhawk Megeen was joined with the Donrav symbioment after its previous host Kentra Donrav was injured from a bomb attack on Andoria during an away mission. Megeen was the only Trill in the system who could save Donrav from dying. She was quickly joined with the symbioment and later became Deep Space One's Chief Science Officer.
