The Yridians are a race known for being smugglers, merchants and criminals. They are percieved by many to be deceitful and unreliable. Their homeworld, Yridia is located in the Alpha Quadrant. Their race was one believed to have been extinct but first contact was established with them by Captain Rudolph Ransom on behalf of the Federation prior to 2360.
Their race was non-aligned to any super power, however they held close ties with the Ferengi Alliance, the Cardassian Union as well as the Klingon Empire.
